Hello all, I'm Kyle from Spokane WA. I'm going to Bend in July to build a custom shop acoustic Breedlove, gonna select the woods, etc. I have a pretty general idea of what I want to do as far as woods, body style, etc.. but I am wondering if anyone has any feedback as far as LR Baggs electronics, specifically the Dual Element vs. the I-Mix M1. Do any of you know anything about the new retro series....Are they braced like the Revival series,Are they Lam Sides and solid backs?...has anyone played one and if so how do they sound?

Well, I finally got to play the B3 live, plugged directly through the sound board, no external amp. First I need to address the strings. I found the stock strings were just fine "open", but up the fretboard they were a bit... dead.

I swapped Ernie Ball Earthwood Acoustics on it and it made quite a positive difference!

AC250/SM-12 saddle question

Just wondering if the saddle could be mounted more rigidly. It sounds great but I wouldn't mind a little more volume until I get an amp. Anyway, while changing the strings recently, I pulled off the saddle to take a look. Under the saddle was a copper colored metal cord. Could that be dampening some of the sound? If so, can it be easily improved? I'd mount it in epoxy if I knew I'd never take off the saddle again. My curiousity drives me to tinker with stuff sometimes, but...

As some of you know I am completely into the acoustic side of things. However, as I start to branch out I am puzzle by how to change guitars, that have pickups in them, without having to go over to the amp and turn off the power so I don't get that pop sound. Does someone make something that you can turn off the current or sound from the guitar so you don't have to go over to the amp and turn it off and then power it back up.

The Name's Peter, I've grown fond of the Breedlove line.

I've probably played almost every acoustic guitar out there (there being guitar center), and it's time for me to make a very difficult decision.

I do recordings and I play small time gigs. I hear that the synergy system is great for recording because of the 8-pin connector...

I just got done installing K&K Pure Mini Western pickups in my AD20SM dreadnought and they sound fabulous!! I can't get the smile off my face! Everything I have heard about K&Ks is absolutely true. The sound it just what it says.. "pure". I've never hear anything so perfectly natural. I am just amazed. I love the sound of my guitar and the K&K Minis get it spot on.
