Upgrade from AJ250SM?

Hey guys,

I'm the new guy here, so hello! I've been playing an AJ250-SM for a few years now and I really like it. I get lots of compliments on it from experienced players who say mine sounds more acoustic-like through our church's PA than the Taylors our worship leaders use.

tuner placement?

Hi--I just got a used Roots OM/SR. I changed the strings, and was surprised to see that the 2nd and 5th strings are touching the tuner posts of the 1st and 6th strings. I know this must be normal, but in looking at other guitars, as in my D-28, there is considerable space for the string to pass without touching. Are all Breedloves like this? It sounds and plays terrific. Thanks.

Tone guard for FF Quartz Mandolin

I have been considering putting a tone guard on my FF Quartz mandolin to help increase volume. I play in some pretty loud Celtic and Bluegrass jams. The local music stores do not carry them. Do you have any recommendations? Does one size fit all, or are there various configurations to consider? I also have an OF Quartz mandolin. It would be great if I could use the same tone guard on both.

Upgrading tuners from 381s to 510s.

I ordered a set of Gotoh 510 Deltas and installed them on my Ziricote Breed today.

The holes for the screws aligned perfectly. This was a very easy swap out.

Design/Construction difference between AC250 / AN250?

In short:
Can I safely install steel strings (Light to Med Lights) on the AN250/CR?

Not-so-short:
The AC250/CR with Synergy is almost exactly what I need in my next guitar except that I crave the 1-7/8" neck. It appears that the wider necks were only installed on the nylon AN250.

It's commonly accepted that steel strings on classicals isn't a safe practice because nylon string guitars are constructed for lower-tension...

Focus Tuning Machine Question

Does anyone know what model Gotoh tunners are on a Performance Focus. I am considering upgrading to a Grotoh 510 gold w/ black knobs for purely cosmetic reasons. I know there may be issues with pre-drilled hole placements (standard/offset etc.) etc. Any suggestions.

Atlas JLD bridge position

Hi All. My first post. I have an AC25-SR Plus that I've had just over a year. In respects to the JLD bridge, I've read the user manual so I understand about adjusting it.

What I am unable to acertain from stock photos is the position of the bridge block. If I'm looking down the neck into the soundhole, the block is actually pointing slightly off center, about 7 o'clock (given that 6 o'clock would mean towards the neck). It's not loose so I'm assuming this...

Room Humidifier vs Case/Soundhole Humidifier

Breedlove OF tailpiece replacement

Hi all:

I am the proud owner of an OF mandolin, which I truly love. My only problem is that changing strings is not an easy task becase of the design of the tailpiece (the cast black model, which definitely looks nice). So, I am thinking about replacing the tailpiece with an Allen MR-2, Monteleone style, like the one standard for premium Breedlove mandolins. Does anyone know if the drill holes will match those of the Monteleone tailpiece?

Hard Shell Case for Acoustic Bass

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Breedlove Passport B35 Acoustic-Electric Bass and I am looking for a hard shell case for it. I worry bout the gig bag not being secure or protective enough for it. They had a generic hard shell case at Guitar Center but it was too loose. Does anyone know any cases that would fit it? C25/SM Intonation off?

Hello,

I am new here, I purchased a C25/SM yesterday, the guitar is beautiful, this is my first good acoustic. In checking the intonation I find that the lowest 4 strings are sharp at the 12th fret in comparison with when I play them open , the B & E are dead on. The other problem I find is that the action is much higher than factory spec.

I am wondering if the action being too high affects the intonation, if so do you think that lowering the action would help with the...

So, I'm a new owner of Breedlove Studio D25/SM. I played/listened to one locally, but ultimately ordered online from authorized dealer and just received it today. It's NEW, NOT b-stock, refurb, or scratch/dent.
I'm wondering how perfect to expect the finish to be. What's reasonable? Perfect to the naked eye?

Hows it goin guys and gals.. I'm thinking of getting a breedlove guitar.. I have always played electric (around 20 years) but have never had a decent acoustic guitar..

A guy up the road has a "like new?" AD25/SR plus. It has a classic 4 preamp with no tunner put the sticker in the guitar list as a plus model.. serial # is 311480857..

Lokks like its in good shape but I wanted some opinions.. The serial number is longer than the examples in the dateing...

Two Hairline size Lateral Cracks have appeared on my Breedlove. one on Each side of the Bridge right under the edge of the Rosewood. About 2 Inches each on each side. Bridge Buzz

I have a Pro Series strung with Cleartone Phosphor Bronze and I have been getting a buzz coming from what sounds like the bridge. I checked the wiring, and it all seem to check out fine. Im not too sure what would be causing the buzz. Im wondering if it may be the bridge doctor, but from what I can tell it seems to be fine.

Any suggestions?
