I play with some friends on Thursday nights, y'know, have some beer, solve world problems, make music. I was playing my Breedlove in C tuning )CGCGCE) and using a capo for the key of E and playing some fingerstyle up over the soundboard with an unwrapped thumb. The sax player stops me and says-" You know Neal, they DO make cutaways for stuff like that".

Now, on an acoustic guitar, I really don't like the cutaway look, but.... well, he does make sense.

Here are a few 'ukulele for your enjoyment, I certainly do. I do understand if others do not. Yes, I play guitar still, but for the last 4 years haven't really touched one but to show a player how I wanted something played for a duet or group. Not until I got the Breedlove recently, and now the ukes are dormant... go figure..

My mom passed away last year on the 22nd of Sept. Her name was/is Patricia. This one was built by Dave Means of Glyph 'Ukulele in Annapolis....

My wife and I were attending a wedding in Lodi, WI this weekend and had a few hours to kill, the reception was in Madison. My good wife accepted that I desired to see some guitars at Madison Music, I was looking to play a Santa Cruz H-13 and some Collings and Huss&Dalton 00s. The Santa Cruz was killer, by far my favorite between the Collings and the H&D, the Collings were the 001 and 002 and the H&D was the SP00. All nice guitars I would love to have, the Santa Cruz standing out....

new "R Taylor" guitars? I was at my local shop here, and Jeff had four new "R Taylor" guitars in several woods and "sizes". The first ones I have seen even if they aren't new. He had a Koa (?) and Macassar (Ohhhmega?)That sounded pretty good, but it didn't grab me while he was playing it. It was a beautiful guitar none the less.
