Hi, folks. Forum newby here--although not a newby to guitars, as I have been playing 6 string guitars for 35 years. I just retired from a 32 year career in
public education and "gave" myself a retirement gift--a Breedlove Custom Shop guitar .

Anyway, I'd like to hear from some people who play a Phoenix. No, I didn't order a Phoenix, but I did order a guitar with the same tonewoods as are
used in Breedlove's Phoenix model.

Thanks for whatever help you folks may...

I have my Taylor Chris Proctor with the 1 7/8 inch nut. Wonder guitar to play. I often will work something out on it before I try a 1 3/4 nut. It is
surprising what 1/40th of an inch more between 6 strings can do for being easier to play. My wide nut is just so easy to play. I know you will enjoy the 1
7/8 inch nut. It is really nice to fingerpick which is basically all I do.

Dugly,

Welcome aboard. We are glad to have you!

Your custom shop Breedlove sounds like it will be a spectacular guitar - wow! I have only run across one 000 Revival in a shop. It was a Deluxe model, with a
red spruce top and rosewood back/sides. No doubt it was a special guitar - I loved it. The woods on yours should make for a wonderful fingerstyle machine.
Please share some photos/comments when it lands.

I went with a Deluxe build Revival series 000 slot-headed 12-fretter. Breedlove was kind enough to delete the pickguard and will allow me to furnish the
material of my choice for the nut and the saddle (it will be West African Hard Ivory). I chose the snowflake fret markers, herringbone purfling and rosette,
and the Master grade Koa binding option.. Breedlove was also kind enough to build it with the 1 7/8" nut/fretboard width. It will be used mostly for
