As some of you know I am completely into the acoustic side of things. However, as I start to branch out I am puzzle by how to change guitars, that have
pickups in them, without having to go over to the amp and turn off the power so I don't get that pop sound. Does someone make something that you can turn
off the current or sound from the guitar so you don't have to go over to the amp and turn it off and then power it back up.
I am thinking about how I have a few guitars that I would like to gig with that have pickups in them and I don't want to have to keep going over to the amp
and wasting the time changing the guitars out. I just want to unplug one and plug in another.

There are cables, I think from Planet Waves, with circuit breakers to prevent that pop; just unplug one, & plug the other. They're not cheap, but not
the most expensive either, I think.

Thanks guys. It just seemed there had to be something and a little circuity breaker makes sense.
NWHarry I am located just up I-5 from you closer to the Seattle/Tacoma area. I get to Camby OR. every now and then. Well maybe 4 times a year. Thanks again for the help. ragtime man |

I use an Ernie Ball volume pedal. When it's all the way down you can do whatever you want with the cable without any pops. It also ha a tuner input and
when you have the volume off you can give your guitar a quick tune while introducing your next song and nobody will hear you. I just keep the tuner plugged in
and on right next to it on the floor.
