Good find, that was nice to watch. I used to subscribe to AG mag, but finally just let it lapse since I can only read so many magazines, and after the golf
magazines were read, I would run out of time...

Great read and video steve... | #3 | ||
stevezenof wrote: thought he did a thorough job of it in the video, from describing his tuning to settings on the amp. Also thought it was cool the way he oscillated the guitar, at first I thought he was doing it to change the distance from the microphone aimed at the soundhole for a effect of sorts. But he did it as well with just the guit hooked up to the amp. For me it was rather new and I always enjoy seeing a new way of doing something. Yeah, I know I need to get out more. <grin> And I agree with you about AG reviews, but they are not alone in this.

I could tell the review was well thought out. I wish they would have played something in standard tuning. I was also happy that they pointed out how close they come to the sound of the custom shop bloves. |

Good review, but yes - they are all on the "favorable" side. Sponsors/advertisers aren't likely to get unfavorable reviews. Still, good
information can be gleaned from these reviews. I haven't played one of these, but it seems like a nice, versatile guitar.

Hello all. This is my first post here.
I have for some time been drewling over this cedar top C25/CR. I literally wore one out at my local GC. I got to play it next to a G5 and a G7, and recently I played a Larrivee with similar construction. I think the reveiw stinks. I think teh Breedlove is sonically far superior to those I have mentioned. And for me the playability is superior as well. I had a chance to bid on one on Ebay about a year ago. If only I had the money. It went for round a grand.......... I'll wait for one though. I love the way it filled the room at GC the way it did. It has an incredibily rich warm tone from string to string and thanks to the standard bone bridge and nut it rings forever. It's really built for finger picking I guess, but it is however, very lush sounding strummed. It's and exceptional guitar for sure.

welcome hooligan....im new around here to, but I also fell in love with this c25 pro....so much that I traded my om18v martin for it...martins are like
harley's the name resales them..but this (some say lesser pro series) really speaks to me, they are worth every penny they cost new. frank

Welcome to the forum Hooligan. I am looking forward to your input. It sounds like you've been bit by the Breedlove bug too. We are all infected the same
way. Good luck getting that C25 in your herd.
The Pro series guitars are awesome instruments. I wouldn't call them inferior to any other guitars, including higher priced Breeds. This is just my opinion, and not intended to infuriate anybody of course. I think that the reason people are buying performance series, and custom shop guitars (myself included) is the opportunity to get some different options like woods that aren't available "off the rack". If the Cedar/ Rosewood C25 floats your boat, (and why wouldn't it?), then the Pro Series is a great way to go. I hope I made sense. It sounded right in my head. PR "All Music is the Blues. Hey thanks for the warm welcome. Some other observations about this guitar.
I really like three things about this guitar, the radius on the fret board, the smooth ebony fret board, and the element pick up. Since I'm pretty new to guitar playing the 14" ( I think) radius seemd to me very comfortble. I am getting more comfortable with these blasted bar chords and that radius makes them easy. I also seem to like unbound fret boards. The ebony fret board has no binding and has a very smooth radius from the edge of the neck to the face of the fret board. Really nice. I also really appreciate the fact the LR Baggs Element pick up does not require sawing huge holes in guitar for the pre amp. Let the wood do it's thing by not sticking a huge block of plastic inside. Oh and the spacing afforded by the 1 3/4" nut is quite comfortable especially with a nice set of P/B 80/20 12's I guess thats four not three....... Like I said before you can talk Taylor or Martin all you want. I'll take this Breedlove over any of them, no question! Atlas AC25/SR Plus
