Michael may have seen this on Mandolin Cafe, but in case anybody didn't & is interested, I thought I'd post this:Mandolin Classical

I did see these a couple of days ago. They come in three (3) thicknesses from 1mm to 2.75mm. For those of you who haven't seen these before, they
serve a two-fold purpose: 1) They are great plectrums once you get a feel for them and learn how to hold them; and 2) they can be utilized as a self-defense
weapon--especially my Red Bear 2.5mm. One word or warning though, I would not recommend that you carry it around in your pocket if you do a lot of squatting
or bending...you could end up with unwanted puncture wounds.

Another friend has already ordered a 1mm and will be giving a review over on the Mandolin Cafe...hopefully next week. I am very interested. My only issue is the color--or lack of color. I would had to drop one and not have my glasses on.They offer a red option on some picks, for extra $$$. They claim that the friction of play makes them stick in the hand, so dropping should be rare. Not something I'd trust to depend on.
