It's a basic scale with some basic chords, but I repeat the same scale and chords so that you can hear the relative difference among the models. In your Breedlove comparison I found the OF Sitka Spruce to be very bright, and the Red Spruce while still bright to have a bit of a deeper tone and resonance. Of course comparing F holes to Oval holes is just unfair as the sound is completely different. I guess that is why I have one of each. Did I hear correctly or have others heard differently? Maybe it was my speakers?

I hear very little difference, but if I really dug in on the sitka and red spruce, there would be a more noticeable difference as red spruce holds a clearer note, whereas sitka gets a bit mushy. I hear a little difference, but not enough to be sure it's not just because I know they're different, rather than an actual difference. 00 Posts: 184 August 30, 2009 20:21:41	The octave Mando seemed to my ears to have a full voice with rich undertones compared to the regular mando. In other words, if i imagine it with banjo, fiddle, bass, & guitar I sense that it would fill evenly without punching out on the higher notes even if it were played with "passion" or if I were playing it, overzealousness.
