Rob stopped playing after a while and asked what I was waiting for. Everyone else stopped playing. I picked up the guitar and began to apologize for not being up to their speed, but Rob stopped me in mid sentence and told me to stop making excuses and play the dam guitar. Talk about being put on the spot. In a room with three MALE guitar players, all of whom could run fingers up and down the neck of the guitar at the speed of light/sound, and I'm actually playing with them. And guess what?
I wasn't half bad! I was totally blown away. I kept up with them for the most part, and when I didn't, I just breathed, watched and jumped right back in! We got there around 10pm and didn't leave until 3:30 this morning!~! My fingers are not sore or tired. And I learned some stuff, too.And I taught a few things as well (They all knew about Joni Mitchell's weird tunings).
It was AWESOME!! Lesson learned. No more apologizing. I'm really not as bad as I thought I was, and I shouldn't be intimidated just because I'm an old lady! LOL
Doulos

I am glad to hear that you did so well. I would have been scared to death.
