Check out the below video. At 0:51, he shows you the top wood. It may very well be the best looking bear claw top I've ever seen.

Nice looking back, sides and top. The bear claw is really something.

That guitar seems LOUD. I like the visual aspect, not so sure about the tonal. I'd have to hear it in person. I'm going with englemann spruce for my
next one. I do respect the choice to go with a more unusually figured top. Why be normal? The back and sides are unusual too. Never heard of makore before. How
does it sound in person Mac? Is it as loud as it seems?

That's TJ Baden in the video, and the folks at Baden sent me that video, and I replayed the part about the top over and over. The A style models have great volume. The interesting thing about the Badens is that the A style is bigger than it looks in pictures/videos, whereas the D Style is smaller. Here's another makore but with a redwood top. |

I think T.J. Baden used to be part of the Taylor management team. From what I remember he left when he had decided to start producing his own guitars or at
least that what I remember.

Hello,
My shop is hosting the first unveiling of the updated Baden models. These are the models that are made at Baden's shop in Vietnam, whereas the models in the previous videos were made in the US. Here's a short video. I'm thinking of sending a Baden on a road trip. If interested, please contact me. Thank You. |

What are the specific differences between the old and the new Baden guitars?

A mix of cosmetic and structural - new keystone and purfling, new bridge design, new corner binding, ebony fretboard (most models), and a tapered fingerboard
for better ergonomics.
