Breedlove MJ/MP ("Mondo-Jumbo/Maple")
Year: 44th instrument made in 1993
Quilted maple back/sides, sitka top, walnut binding all over etc. (see pics)
Has both Steve Henderson and Larry B's signatures, the original BG Co logo on the headstock, and the unusual "bear-claw" pick guard.
The guitar is in great shape, especially given the age. There are a few dings which are shown in the photos below. Aside from those there are no issues. I had sent it in to Breedlove back around April this year and had them refret it, install new bone nut and saddle, and a Carlos CP-1 pickup (this alone was near half the asking price).
Sounds fantastic and very different than either my maccasar ebony CM or the EIR OMC but with those two to compete with, it gets very llittle attention. My back is also getting worse (two buldging dics) so I find a smaller instruments better fitting nowadays.
The cash price is $1,700 + shipping which I think is exceptional even in this economy. Additionally it comes in a humidity controlled Ameritage case. I have my sights on something else but hey, if you wanna trade, let me know what you've got and you never know. Trade value $3,500.
Also worth noting, this is an extraordinarily light instrument and weighs less than its much smaller brethren (the CM & the OMC)
