Hello everyone, Great board I have been reading and learning alot. I am thinking of picking up a new guitar and I played the Atlas C250/EO today at guitar
center it sounded and played great I was just wondering what other opinions are out there on this guitar good & bad so I can make an informed decision on
this purchase. Thank you all for the help.

Hi GSPatton. Welcome aboard. I don't have experience with that guitar, so I'm no help. I think the Atlases are the best bang for the buck out there
fwiw. I am curious about the woods on this guit. You said it's a c250/EO. Either I am having a brain fart, or I haven't ever seen this wood
combination before. Do you remember what it was?

...and I didn't even cheat.
I supposed the woods to be Englemann/ Ovangkol. From what I've read they team up quite well but I've not heard it personally. I checked my work and, indeed, it is the correct tonewoods. I'd say if it sounds like a Breedlove, smells like a Breedlove, and most imnportantly SOUNDS like a Breedlove, than get the thing and thank me later. Just MO! |

Welcome to BGMF GSPatton! I am in the camp of using your ears and heart to decide. Didn't someone do a song named "Plankton"?

Thank you Everybody I did just that I let my ears decide and well I bought it and what a SWEET sound it has. I normally don't spend much money on myself I
have a family and well I try to spoil them as much as I can,I literally have been playing the same cheap fender six string for the last twenty years. Well the
wife told me that if I really like it and want it to go ahead and buy it. I would really like to say I feel guilty for spending so much money on myself but as
soon as I pick this thing up all that guilt just melts away. Thanks again for all the replies and welcoming me to the board.

I didn't know that Breedlove made guitars using Englemann/Ovangkol until I saw it posted here yesterday. Then I got a flyer from Guitar Center with a
C250/OE featured therein. Wow...you folks are fast. Welcome to BGMF GSPatton. This is a good forum...and don't bet that you just bought your last
Breedlove guitar!
